working up an appitite

Hard work makes you hungry...

SORTING & CLASSIFING
The PreSchoolers have spent time learning to sort and classify materials both inside and outside the classroom. Sorting and classifying objects helps children begin to notice how items are alike and different, and creates an awareness that is vital for math learning. These activities require children to organize items into groups based on a common characteristic such as size, color, shape, texture, or flavor and also explain why they grouped the items as they did.
