Fire Safety

We practiced our first real fire drill at school..... Everyone did a fabulous job following the directions, and learning what to do during a school fire drill.

Nobody likes to think about what might happen if a fire starts at home or at school. It’s a scary thought. But talking about it and knowing what to do can make dealing with a fire or an emergency a lot less frightening. Keeping children safe is an important part of being a PreSchool educator. Young children need our help to understand the dangers of fire and how to respond.

We have learned our PreSchool Emergency Plan. We discussed our classroom plan and put the plan into action with some practice. The children all did a great job listening to how we can help keep safe in case of an emergency while at school. In the weeks to come, we will be discussing and practicing several types of drills while at school.
